# Can AI agents book vacation rentals that use Lodgify?

Lodgify is vacation rental software founded in Barcelona in 2012. It helps hosts build a direct booking website, sync their listings across channels such as Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com, and manage reservations, payments and guest communication in one place. It's aimed at independent hosts with one or a few properties and property managers with larger portfolios, and says hosts in more than 180 countries use it.

## Why rental websites are a distinct test

Vacation rental bookings carry steps hotels rarely have: cleaning fees, security deposits, rental agreements and minimum stays tied to arrival days. An agent comparing a host's own Lodgify site with the same property on Airbnb may weigh how clearly each shows the full total. In the US, the FTC's fees rule requires mandatory fees such as cleaning fees to be included in the total price shown up front. ## Status in the Agent Booking Index

**Not yet tested.** The 20 October pilot covered UK hotels only. Vacation rental engines, including Lodgify, will be tested in a later round.

## What to check if your rental uses Lodgify

- Does your site show the total, including cleaning and booking fees, before the guest's details are entered?
- Are minimum stays and arrival days explained, or do dates simply grey out?
- Is a rental agreement required before payment?
- Is your direct site's total for a given week clearer than your Airbnb listing's?
