# Dog-friendly hotels, pubs and cafés in AI search

> "Dog-friendly" is one of the most common hospitality prompts. How AI decides who's dog-friendly, and why places that welcome dogs still get missed.

Guests ask AI for dog-friendly places all the time: hotels in the Lakes, pubs with gardens, cafés on the seafront.

## How AI decides

It looks for the words: "dog-friendly", "dogs welcome", "pets allowed", in listings, Google attributes, reviews and your own site.

## Why you might be missed

- The policy isn't written down anywhere AI reads.
- It's different on different sites.
- It has conditions (only in the bar, only certain rooms) that aren't explained.

## What helps

A clear dog policy on your site and listings, with any fees and limits. Reviews from dog owners help too.
