# Thanksgiving and holiday weekends: AI agents and US hotels

Thanksgiving is one of the biggest travel weekends in the US. Families gather, often staying at inns and hotels near relatives or heading somewhere special together. Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day and Christmas bring similar peaks. For independent hotels, these weekends can be the most important of the year. For AI agents, they're full of rules to get right.

## What changes on holiday weekends

- **Minimum stays.** Three nights over Thanksgiving, two over July 4.
- **Closed arrivals.** No arrivals on Thursday or Saturday.
- **Holiday packages.** Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas Eve events, fireworks views.
- **Higher rates and stricter cancellation.**
