# AI SEO and agent bookings for UK glamping sites

> Shepherd's huts, yurts, pods and treehouses: how AI agents choose and book UK glamping, and why unit types and facilities decide where they book.

Glamping requests to AI are full of detail: "a shepherd's hut with a wood-fired hot tub in Devon", "a treehouse with its own toilet, not shared". That detail is what makes glamping hard for agents to book.

## What agents need to know

- The unit type and what's inside: bed size, heating, kitchen, toilet and shower (private or shared, inside or a short walk).
- Hot tub, fire pit and dog rules, and any fees.
- Access: parking distance, steps, accessibility.
- Minimum stays and arrival days.

Most glamping sites cover this beautifully in photos. Agents rely on text.

## Where glamping sites lose agent bookings

**Facilities shown, not stated.** A photo of a compost loo doesn't tell an agent the toilet is shared. It may skip the site for a "private bathroom" request, or book it wrongly.

**Marketplace dependence.** Many glamping sites take most bookings through glamping marketplaces and Airbnb. When their own site is harder to book than the marketplace, agents choose the marketplace.

**Calendars per unit.** Sites with several huts often show one calendar per unit on separate pages. An agent asked for "any available hut that weekend" may not check them all.

**Seasonal closures** shown as "unavailable".

## Getting recommended by AI

Glamping prompts are some of the most specific in UK travel: "glamping pod with a hot tub in Northumberland", "dog-friendly shepherd's hut in Devon". AI names sites that list those features plainly. Small sites can own these answers because few competitors describe themselves well.

## How to check

Ask an agent to book any available unit on your site for a Saturday night with a private toilet, and report what it found. If it can't tell, guests' agents can't either. Our [free agent check](https://akkrev.com/ai-agent-booking/#free-agent-check) runs this test.
