Holiday cottages are a natural fit for AI search because guests' requirements are specific. They're one of the hardest categories for agents to book direct.

## Why cottages are hard for agents

**Changeover days.** Many cottages only accept arrivals on Fridays or Saturdays, or only take full weeks in summer. A guest asking for Wednesday to Sunday gets "no availability" with no explanation, and so does their agent.

**Short-break rules that vary by season.** Three-night breaks allowed in winter, seven-night minimum in August. These rules often sit in a text block, not in the booking calendar.
