A **Google Business Profile** (formerly Google My Business) is the free listing that shows a business on Google Search and Google Maps: category, address, hours, photos, attributes, reviews and more.

## Why it matters for AI

Gemini, AI Overviews and AI Mode draw heavily on these profiles for local questions, and other assistants see them through search. See [your Google profile as an AI asset](https://akkrev.com/ai-seo/google-business-profile-for-ai/).
