Editorial standards
Updated
Our guides answer one question each, for hotel, restaurant and café owners in the UK and US. These are the rules we write by.
Facts and sources
- Claims about laws, products and market data link to the original source: the regulator, the company's own announcement, or the publication that reported it.
- Where we describe how an agent behaves, we say whether it comes from our own testing or from a cited report.
- We don't invent statistics, quotes or customer results. Example hotels in our illustrations are fictional and labelled as examples.
- Local planning guides suggest questions and sources to investigate. They do not report measured search demand, current AI rankings or guaranteed outcomes. The subscription measurement method explains how actual reports differ from these examples.
Testing
Results in the Agent Booking Index come from real agents on real hotel websites, run as described in the methodology. Agents stop at the payment page. We don't make real bookings in tests.
Updates and corrections
- Every page shows the date it was last updated. Agent products change fast, so we revisit pages when they do.
- Found something wrong? Email [email protected] and we'll fix it and note the change.
- Vendors named in the Agent Booking Index can send a response, and we publish it next to their result.
Independence
Akkrev sells AI search visibility subscriptions for hospitality, alongside separate AI booking audits and setup. No vendor pays to appear in, or to change, our guides or the Agent Booking Index. Our guides explain problems and how to check for them. They are not a substitute for professional legal or tax advice.
