Microsoft Copilot builds its answers from Bing search results. Bing also powers parts of other AI tools. So while most hotels and restaurants ignore Bing, it quietly shapes a lot of AI answers.
Why Bing matters
- Copilot is built into Windows, Edge and Microsoft 365, so many people use it without thinking of it as a “search”.
- Bing’s index feeds other services too.
- Bing supports IndexNow, which lets sites tell it about new pages straight away.
What to check
- Search Bing for your venue’s name. Are your details right?
- Is your site indexed? Bing Webmaster Tools shows it.
- Do your Bing Places details match your Google profile?
Check Copilot’s answers
Ask Copilot the questions your guests ask and see who it names. If it’s consistently missing you, look at Bing first.
