AI share of voice: how often AI names you versus competitors
Updated By Akkrev
Share of voice measures how often AI assistants name your venue compared with others. How it's calculated and what a good number looks like.
Share of voice is the simplest way to measure AI visibility over time.
How it works
Take a fixed set of guest questions. Ask each one to several AI assistants. Count how many answers name you, and how many name each competitor. Your share of voice is your mentions divided by all mentions.
Why it’s better than a single check
AI answers vary. Over 25 or 50 questions, repeated weekly, the noise averages out and you see the trend.
What’s a good number?
It depends on the market. In a city centre with hundreds of restaurants, being named in 10% of relevant answers can be strong. In a small town, the leaders are often named in more than half.
What moves it
Fixing facts, getting covered by guides AI trusts, and earning reviews that mention what guests ask for. Our plans track share of voice every week.
