OpenTable, Resy or your own booking page: what AI links
Updated By Akkrev
When AI recommends a restaurant it adds a way to book. Which link it picks, and why your own booking page matters.
| Reservation platform | Your own booking page | |
|---|---|---|
| Readability for AI | High | Varies |
| Reviews | Platform reviews | None |
| Data ownership | Platform | You |
| Fees | Per-cover or subscription | Depends on your system |
AI often links the platform because it’s clear and trusted. That’s fine if you’re happy with the platform. If you’d rather own the relationship, your site’s booking link needs to be just as clear.
