Profitroom is a hotel technology company founded in Poland in 2008. Its Booking Engine 360 focuses on direct bookings and revenue, with upselling, dynamic pricing and integrations with sales channels. On Hotel Tech Report it has hundreds of reviews from hotels in more than 40 countries, led by Poland, South Africa and the Czech Republic, with a growing presence among independent hotels elsewhere in Europe and the UK.
Upselling and agents
Engines built around upselling often add steps between choosing a room and paying: room upgrades, packages, breakfast, parking, late checkout. For a person, these are offers. For an agent working to a budget, each step is something to read and decide on. Clear labels and the ability to skip extras may help agents move through without adding things the guest didn’t ask for.
Status in the Agent Booking Index
Not yet tested. No Profitroom hotels were in the 20 October pilot.
What to check if your hotel uses Profitroom
- How many steps are there between selecting a room and the payment page?
- Can each upsell be skipped clearly?
- Is the total, including VAT and mandatory charges, visible early?
- Can an AI agent reach a priced room for two named nights?
What this means for AI recommendations
Profitroom focuses on direct sales. For AI visibility, the content around the booking engine matters as much as the engine.
