Can AI agents book hotels and holiday parks that use RMS?
Updated By Akkrev
RMS, from Melbourne, provides cloud PMS and booking for hotels, serviced apartments and holiday parks. Not yet tested in the Agent Booking Index.
RMS is an accommodation technology company based in Melbourne, Australia, with offices in North America, the UK and Asia. It provides a cloud property management system and online booking for hotels, serviced apartments and holiday parks, and is particularly established in the Australian holiday park market.
Holiday parks are different
Holiday parks sell many kinds of stay from one booking engine: cabins, caravans, glamping units, powered and unpowered sites. Each has its own occupancy, pet and vehicle rules. An agent asked for “a cabin for two adults and a dog, with parking for a trailer” has to match all of that against the engine’s categories. Clear unit names and descriptions in text may matter more here than for a hotel with three room types.
Status in the Agent Booking Index
Not yet tested. No RMS properties were in the 20 October pilot.
What to check if your property uses RMS
- Do unit names say what the unit is (cabin, powered site, caravan) and who it sleeps?
- Are pet and vehicle rules shown before booking?
- Is the total, including fees, shown early?
- Can an AI agent reach a price for a specific unit type and dates?
What this means for AI recommendations
Holiday parks on RMS win AI answers by listing their facilities clearly on Google and their own site.
