Akkrev vs 80 DAYS: AI booking specialist or full hospitality agency?
UKUpdated By Akkrev
80 DAYS is an Edinburgh hospitality marketing agency working on AI distribution with DirectBooker. Akkrev focuses on one job: making hotels bookable by agents.
80 DAYS and Akkrev both talk about AI agents and independent hotels, and they’re very different kinds of business.
What 80 DAYS does
80 DAYS is a creative and digital marketing agency specialising in hospitality, founded in 2002 and based in Edinburgh. It works mainly with luxury travel brands, independent luxury hotels and hotel collections on brand strategy, content, digital marketing and campaigns.
On AI, 80 DAYS has partnered with DirectBooker and DerbySoft to bring independent hotels’ live rates and direct booking links into AI platforms through an MCP connection, starting with a limited beta. Its Head of AI and Marketing also moderated a session on agent-ready hotel websites at the Independent Hotel Show in October 2026.
What Akkrev does
Akkrev offers self-serve AI search tracking and website content, plus a separate service to help AI agents book a hotel on its own website. We test agents on the real booking flow, record where they get stuck, fix the website, booking path and facts agents rely on, and re-test monthly. This separate booking service does not include a brand or paid campaign engagement.
Side by side
| 80 DAYS | Akkrev | |
|---|---|---|
| Type | Full-service hospitality marketing agency | AI booking specialist |
| AI work | AI distribution via DirectBooker partnership, marketing | Agent booking tests and fixes on the hotel’s own site |
| Hotels | Mainly luxury independents and collections | Independent hotels, B&Bs, inns and rentals, UK and US |
| Other services | Brand, content, digital, campaigns | None |
When each fits
- If you want one agency for brand, digital marketing and AI distribution, a full-service agency fits.
- If you want a specific answer to “can an agent book us, and if not, why not”, a specialist test is faster and cheaper.
- An AI distribution feed and an agent-bookable website work together: one gets your price in front of the agent, the other lets it finish the booking.
Where AI visibility fits
Akkrev now focuses on AI recommendations for hotels, restaurants and cafés, with monthly plans from £49. A full-service agency covers much more; Akkrev goes deep on AI search.
