Akkrev vs LuxDirect: AI booking audit or AI visibility service?
UKUpdated By Akkrev
LuxDirect tracks and improves how AI platforms recommend luxury hotels, from £99 a month. Akkrev tests whether AI agents can book a hotel direct.
LuxDirect and Akkrev both work with independent hotels in the AI era, from different ends of the guest journey.
This page compares LuxDirect with Akkrev’s separate hotel agent booking service. Akkrev’s main product also offers weekly AI visibility tracking; the comparison below is not a complete description of that subscription. Check the providers’ current scopes and prices before choosing.
What LuxDirect does
LuxDirect is a London-based AI visibility platform for independent and boutique luxury hotels. It measures how ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Mode and Grok recommend a hotel, scores presence, accuracy, citation quality and sentiment in its Luxury Visibility Index, and runs a managed monthly service from £99 a month that monitors AI recommendations, spots OTA routing and competitor gaps, and works on the causes. It also offers a free AI audit.
What Akkrev does
Akkrev starts where the recommendation ends: can an AI agent complete a booking on the hotel’s own website? We test real booking flows, from the homepage to a priced room and the payment step, record where agents get stuck, and fix what stops them, usually without changing the booking engine. We also check what AI says about the hotel, because wrong facts lead to wrong bookings.

When each fits
- If AI rarely mentions your hotel, or describes it wrongly, a visibility service addresses that directly.
- If AI recommends you but bookings arrive through OTAs, inspect the cited links and test the booking path. That pattern alone does not establish the cause.
- Many hotels will want both: being named, and being bookable once named.
Where AI visibility fits
Akkrev now offers monthly AI visibility plans from £49 for hotels, restaurants and cafés, alongside its agent booking work for hotels.
Questions
Can a hotel use both LuxDirect and Akkrev?
Akkrev's separate booking audit can complement visibility work by testing the hotel's public booking flow. Its main visibility subscription overlaps with some tracking needs, so compare that scope before paying for both.
Does LuxDirect offer a free audit?
Yes. LuxDirect offers a free AI audit that scans six AI platforms and emails a visibility report.
