GuruHotel is an AI-native direct booking platform based in Mexico City, founded in 2020 and part of Y Combinator’s Winter 2020 batch. It describes itself as aiming to be “Stripe for hotel bookings”: a full ecommerce suite with a website builder, native booking engine, checkout, payments and AI-ready APIs, integrated with the hotel’s property management system so that both people and AI agents can book direct.
What Akkrev does
Akkrev tests whether AI agents can book a hotel on its current website and booking engine, records where they fail, and fixes what stops them, usually without changing the engine. In our Agent Booking Index pilot, most hotels on mainstream engines such as Guestline and SynXis were already readable by agents; the problems were often finding the booking link, date pickers and blocked AI crawlers.
