Can AI agents book vacation rentals that use Hostaway?
USUpdated By Akkrev
Hostaway is a vacation rental PMS and channel manager with a direct booking website builder, used by professional managers. Not yet tested in the Index.
Hostaway is vacation rental software combining a property management system with a channel manager connected to Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, Google, Expedia and other platforms, plus a unified guest inbox. Its direct bookings features include a website builder, booking widgets, SEO and translation tools, and an open API for managers who want to connect their own site. Hostaway is aimed at professional vacation rental managers and lists more than 300 integrations.
Managers with many properties
Hostaway’s customers often run dozens or hundreds of units. For an agent, that means two separate tasks: finding a property that fits (“three bedrooms, hot tub, dog-friendly, near the beach”) and then booking it. A manager’s site with search filters an agent can use, and property pages that state features in text, may matter as much as the booking step itself.
Status in the Agent Booking Index
Not yet tested. The 20 October pilot covered UK hotels only. Vacation rental platforms will be tested in a later round, including US managers.
What to check if you manage rentals on Hostaway
- Can an agent filter your properties by bedrooms, pets and amenities on your site?
- Does each property page list features as text, not only icons?
- Is the full total, including fees, shown before checkout under the FTC fees rule?
- Does an AI agent asked for a specific week reach a price on your own site, or go to Airbnb?
What this means for AI recommendations
Hostaway users usually sell through several platforms. AI names whichever listing is clearest; a strong direct site helps you be named directly.
